Established for 22 years, the design led business specialises in providing both individual projects and contract projects to clients around the UK and overseas. Adrian Barget explains why the outsourcing route best suited Barget Kitchens. "As a business we had been through the process of handling the accounting functions ourselves at the beginning and then employing a book keeper as the business grew. Using an in-house bookkeeper was fine to a point but we were always reliant on one person's knowledge and ability. Our accountants recommended Artaius as a possible solution to streamlining the accounting function and the relationship has developed from there. We now outsource our entire accounting function to them and have been extremely pleased with the results."
Barget Kitchens has continued to enjoy growth over the past few years and outsourcing to Artaius has bought significant benefits to aiding the growth process. Says Adrian "Artaius handles all of our book keeping work from Sales and Purchase ledger through to end of year procedures and our Payroll. The benefits to Barget Kitchens are varied, we enjoy a fixed fee agreement which stabilises and actually reduces the costs of financial management. We are provided with up to date management accounts on a monthly basis and management information on demand, which keeps us constantly one step ahead with the business administration. Perhaps most importantly our accounting information is accurate. We don't have to worry about changing legislation; Artaius do that for us and provide us with a smooth process at the year-end. In turn our accountancy fees are kept under control as there are no adjustments to the information we supply to them."
Adrian admits that one of his key concerns when they began using Artaius was the potential loss of control, however Artaius have alleviated that concern. "We are kept informed by the team at Artaius and we benefit from the fact that Artaius is extremely IT literate. They are able to provide us with a wide range of skills and knowledge that would cost a fortune to employ ourselves and all of the team is familiar now with our business and the way in which we like to work. We like to be kept informed by email and they can handle that very efficiently and we don't have to rely on one person at Artaius, the whole team is there for us when need them."
By using Artaius Barget Kitchens have been able to create the time to work on their business development programme.
