Team Profiles

Rose Davenport AAT

Rose joined Artaius in March 2006. She has completed her AAT Payroll qualification, and manages the Artaius payroll division. Rose works to tight deadlines

In her spare time Rose enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Sally Davidson MAAT

Sally joined Artaius Ltd in December 2004 as a Senior Accountant.

Previously Sally worked in accounting and commercial roles for a variety of industry sectors, ranging from light manufacturing to toy distribution.

Away from work Sally enjoys outdoor pursuits such as snowboarding and hiking.

Sheila Fenn MAAT

Sheila joined Artaius in April 2000 as a Senior Accountant. Prior to this she worked for a firm of Chartered Accountants for seven years, during which time she completed her AAT qualification.

She has also worked for HM Revenue & Customs and Standard Chartered Bank.

In her spare time she loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys swimming and visits to the theatre. She is married with two grown-up children

Adam Gross

Adam joined the company in April 2009 and is studying for his AAT qualifications.

Adam left school in June 2008, with three A levels including Business Studies and Economics. He then worked as an administrator for a local charitable organisation.

In his spare time Adam enjoys following many sports including tennis, football and Formula One

Francis Hudson MA (Cantab) FCA CTA

Francis Hudson is a tax partner at our sister firm Wilder Coe LLP and based in our London office. His key responsibilities are advising on personal and corporate taxation issues, as well as overseeing the running of the tax department.

Francis has worked in the tax profession since graduating from Cambridge University. He has a wealth of tax knowledge having worked at Top 6 accountancy firms. In the past he has advised a global insurance company, a leading international shopping centre operator, and numerous high net worth individuals and entrepreneurs.

Francis is happy to deal with any queries on Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, international tax and Inheritance Tax. He has advised on large research and development tax relief claims and the tax treatment on intellectual property, and dealing with both UK and non-UK issues in respect of such matters.

As well as UK tax matters, he deals with cross-border tax issues between the UK, EU and non-EU, advising both established companies and new businesses setting up operations in the UK for the first time. This covers the type of entity to use, employment tax considerations, repatriation of profits and potential exit planning. He also deals with the UK tax affairs of non-UK individuals.

Laura Jennings

Laura joined Artaius in July 2006 as a trainee accountant, after completing her A Levels, and is now studying for her AAT qualification

Lauras role combines work in the Stevenage office, and regular visits to clients.

In her spare time, Laura likes to spend time with her friends and family. She enjoys going to concerts, socialising and travelling.

Graham Meager FCA

Prior to joining Artaius in August 2005, Graham worked in public practice and gained considerable experience in general taxation, financial accounts and auditing.

Since joining Artaius, Graham has been involved with the accounts of a large property investment group. Graham then joined the team in our Stevenage office as manager to look after a portfolio including both UK businesses and the UK subsidiaries of overseas companies.

In his spare time Graham likes keeping fit by running and cycling.

Ashok Nerurker

Ashok joined Artaius in February 2001 as a Client Manager, and brought with him a wealth of experience gained from his training and years worked within the accountancy profession.

Ashok also gained many years all round commercial experience when he was Company Accountant and Company Secretary in a diversified business, whose interests included freight forwarding, ship chartering, and insurance.

At Artaius, Ashok manages a diverse portfolio of clients. Ashok liaises with his clients and manages their bookkeeping, treasury control, and timely submission of client management information and reports, VAT returns, and year-end accounts files. His strengths lie in meeting tight deadlines, maintaining contact, and communicating with his clients and the teams working with him.

Outside work Ashok tries to keep abreast of current affairs and enjoys long country walks with his family and their dog.

Jon Phillips MCIPD

Jon’s role at Artaius Ltd is as its HR Consultant. The role involves providing clients of all sizes with practical support on HR related matters. Key areas of expertise and support are in Employment Legislation and good Employee Relations.

Jon is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and has developed his expertise across various different sectors, working with a number of non UK and non UK owned businesses at all stages from set up and growth through to restructuring and downsizing.

With initial experience in managing high volume recruitment exercises, Jon’s describes his HR expertise in helping develop positive working relationships and environments between owners, managers and their employees.

Jon is still a big Welsh rugby fan and, time permitting, travels to watch Cardiff City with his son. His other passion in life is listening to music – Bruce Springsteen still being his hero after all these years!

Manjit K. Takhar

Manjit joined Artaius in 1999 as an Accounts Assistant and soon switched to our Payroll division. She became our Payroll Manager in 2005, but has since reverted to the Accounting team where she is involved in bookkeeping and management accounting work.

Away from work, Manjit enjoys time with her three children and her hobbies include drawing and listening to Panjabi classical music.

Faye Thompson MAAT

Faye joined Artaius Ltd in January 2008 as a Senior Accountant, also working closely with the Client Relationship Director, Melanie Troiano, to help overseas business set up in the UK.

Faye previously worked as a Management Accountant for a sport governing body, and specialises in grant-funded and not-for-profit organizations. She has also worked for a large manufacturing company with whom she started her career in management accounting.

In her spare time Faye is kept very busy with her young family, but also enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Anouska Warner

Anouska joined Artaius in April 2010 as a company secretarial assistant.

After finishing University having studied Business Management, Anouska has worked in a range of industries in London, Sydney and Hamilton, New Zealand.

Within her current role, Anouska assists in all administration/statutory matters and responsibilities include formation of companies, preparing statutory forms, preparing minutes, attending to routine filings at Companies House, maintenance of statutory registers, updating minute books, providing statutory records as appropriate, handling and dealing with incoming correspondence and the maintenance of company secretarial database.

Away from work Anouska enjoys travelling, shopping and seeing her family and friends.

Jenny Warren FCCA

Jenny became a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants whilst working in the audit department of a London firm of Chartered Accountants with whom she remained for many years. After qualifying she has worked in many areas of business and for large and small companies and organisations in various accountancy roles.

Jenny joined Artaius in October 2001 as a Client Manager. Her client portfolio includes UK subsidiaries of multinational businesses based in Europe and Canada.

She has lived in North Hertfordshire all her working life and is an active member of her village community. This includes raising funds for the upkeep of the Village Hall. There are various social functions including the annual village pantomime in which Jenny has taken part since its inception some 14 years ago.

Jenny also enjoys gardening and country walks as well as the city life of London to see her daughter and likes travelling abroad whenever she can.

Neil Warren ATT

A member of the Association of Taxation Technicians, Neils specialisms include partially exempt bodies, clubs, charities, housing associations and sports associations.

Neil is a regular contributor to Taxation and Tax Advisor magazines on topical VAT issues, and is prominent on the lecture circuit. Neil won the prestigious Tax Writer of the Year award in 2008.

He is also a member of the Investigation Committee of the Taxation Disciplinary Board, which deals with complaints against registered tax advisors.

Justine Watts

Justine joined the Wilder Coe LLP group in January 1998 as a Company Secretarial administrator.

She assisted in the set up of Marylebone Company Services Ltd, one of the founder Companies of Artaius Limited and helped develop and grow the business.

Justine offers clients with a variety of company secretarial issues including compliance work, incorporations and technical support.

Prior to this she worked at Waterlow Information Services as a customer services representative and dealt with orders and queries in respect of company formations, searches and technical matters.

In her spare time Justine is kept very busy with her young family, but also enjoys spending time with her husband and daughters.
